The beloved Orleans Muffuletta Sandwich was a favorite. The filling sandwich was stuffed with bold flavors. The Gambino’s signature muffuletta bread was piled high with layers of Black Forest ham, salami, olive salad, and provolone cheese. 

The Big Nasty Sandwich

This sandwich was a fan favorite on the menu, but unfortunately, it was one of the items that was discontinued. The sandwich consisted of 1/2 pound of Black Angus roast beef, hearty gravy and a blend of cheddar-jack cheese served open-faced on a warm baguette. The sandwich was only available for a limited time, as they noted that it was available while supplies lasted.

Mashed Potato and Gravy

The Mashed Potato and Gravy side dish from McAlister’s Deli was renowned for its unique flavor. It was no surprise when it became the most popular side dish at McAlister’s Deli, and the customers couldn’t get enough of it. Unfortunately, it was removed from the menu. Some customers weren’t ready to accept their removal one customer even started an online petition for the Mashed Potato and Gravy side dish to come back.

Black Cherry Spinach Salad

The Black Cherry Spinach Salad was part of a special seasonal menu for Spring and quickly became a popular item. The salad featured fresh spinach topped with juicy grilled chicken, crisp bacon, sweet dried cherries, crumbles of gorgonzola, candied pecans, and a special house-made balsamic red onion and black cherry vinaigrette. 

Garden Fresh Black Cherry & Ham Sandwich 

The Garden Fresh Black Cherry & Ham Sandwich was an incredibly delicious and innovative sandwich that was only offered as a limited item. The sandwich was made with Black Forest ham, Swiss cheese, spinach, house-made balsamic red onions, and black cherry honey mustard, and served on toasted 9-Grain bread. 

The Garlic Herb Roast Beef Sandwich

As the seasons change, so do the customer palates and available ingredients. To ensure that customers can enjoy the best of what each season has to offer, the deli often rolls out seasonal items such as The Garlic Herb Roast Beef Sandwich. This sandwich is made with premium, tender roast beef, topped with cheddar cheese, herb mayo, tomato, and spring mix, and served on toasted 9-grain bread. Unfortunately, its run has ended.

Salted Caramel Cookie

The Salted Caramel Cookie was an exquisite treat. The cookie was a perfect combination of both sweet caramel and crunchy sea salt. Like all of McAlister’s cookies this was freshly baked in-house, making it even more delicious. Many people agreed the Salted Caramel Cookie was the perfect way to end a meal or enjoy as an afternoon snack.

The secret menu is no longer on McAlister’s official website so I’m not exactly sure if you could still order it. If you’re curious about what off-the-menu items McAlister’s Deli has to offer, here are a few items from the secret menu and how you can order them. Who knows, some locations might still serve them.

The Godfather

The Godfather sandwich is truly the masterpiece on the secret menu. The sandwich starts with a sturdy toasted baguette. It’s then filled with USDA choice Black Angus roast beef, fresh pizza sauce, and melted provolone cheese. All you have to do is ask for The Godfather and the sandwich will be prepared for you.

Sweetberry Chicken

The Sweetberry Chicken consists of a grilled chicken breast and is accompanied by a medley of fresh vegetables, including lettuce, tomatoes, and Swiss cheese, all sandwiched between two slices of wheat bread. The sandwich is generously coated with mayo and a zesty orange cranberry sauce.

The Peppers, Onions & Beef is an exquisite sandwich made with only the highest quality ingredients.
